As we enter 2022 it’s now twenty-five long years since the United Kingdom lifted the Eurovision crown. It’s also fair to say that our record over this period bears no resemblance to that covering the contest’s first forty years.
So we thought we’d take a journey from 1997 to 2022, song by song, and look at why they failed to bring back the Grand Prix. For each song we’ll examine:
Knock Knock Who’s There?
Making Your Mind Up
How the entry was chosen
I Love The Little Things
Trivia and minutiae from that years contest
That Sounds Good To Me
The placing and scores on the night, plus how it did in the singles chart
Where Are You Now?
What happened to the artist(s) after Eurovision
Flying The Flag
Nul Points highly subjective overall opinion on the entry.
